We are getting ready for Christmas and YLA will be partaking in some activities for the holidays!
On Sunday, December 22, we will be visiting nursing homes. We will meet at the hospital at 3:00 and Rosewood at 5:00. You can choose to participate in either one or both of them.
We had the money and gift certificate tree raffle fundraiser over the past few weeks. Please turn in the money on Monday.
If you are participating in Youth in Government, you need to see Mr. Zukowski for a packet of information concerning this. A folder has been shared on OneDrive as well. You will need to edit the document that has your and your partner's name on it. If you are doing judicial, there has been a local attorney who has offered to help out. If you have not registered online yet, please do it soon!
Let me know if you have any questions.
This blog is designed to give information to Grafton High School Students who participate in the YLA organization.

Grafton YLA Update for November 30
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Break.
We have a number of activities planned for our YLA organization.
First, we have a gift card tree raffle. See the picture below to find out more about it. See Mr. Zukowski or Braydon to get your tickets to sell.
We will also go to two nursing homes on December 22 for festivities with the residents there. Please join us and we will have more details later.
We had five members attend Fall Conference at Jackson's Mill a couple weekends ago and they came back with many innovative ideas for our organization.
We need to start thinking about planning for Model United Nations and Youth in Government that will be here before we know it.
For Model UN, we need to write resolutions for a nation we are representing. Students will work in teams of two for the nation. We should have Participation Agreements by November 22. This was an oversight on my part. I will contact YLA on Monday about it.
The Participation Agreement for Youth in Government is due Thursday, December 5 (this week) and I need to know which students are going to do what. I would like to see a Judicial team this year. Up to four students can participate in a case. This will cost $270 total and a deposit can be put down. All fees and bills must be submitted by February 8. See this site for more details.
Feel free to see Mr. Zukowski in Room 201, Braydon, or any of the officers for more information.
